Objectives and Benefits

Better speech makes a better impression.

Whether in a private or professional environment, voice and speech form an important part of your appearance.

But what does "better" mean? Greater clarity and distinctiveness, fewer problems with breathing and stress, more audibility and resilience to pressure, ability to modulate the voice correctly. Or simply clearer expression and the avoidance of misunderstandings, e.g.

  • Why isn't the other person listening to me?
  • Am I not interesting enough?
  • Why don't they let me finish speaking?
  • Why can't I convey my meaning?

In the field of German as a foreign language, pronunciation is a vital step towards proper integration.

New research has shown that pronunciation is probably more important than grammar for good integration, likewise for job applications and working in Germany.

Misunderstandings, impatience and aggression on the part of the native German speaker as a result of constant questioning by the non-native speaker which can lead to rejection and exclusion of the foreigner, all these are avoidable!

The effectiveness of the coaching can, for most students, be directly measured by recording their speech before and after the training. The students themselves often speak afterwards of an increased sensitisation, "opened" ears and a correspondingly deeper perception of spoken language. Furthermore, they are less likely to be interrupted and enjoy the attention of a greater number of listeners.

Consequently, they have more contact with, and win the respect of, their colleagues, no less so in the work environment. Long-term evaluation has not, so far, been possible.
